Luxury in a Brazillian Cell?
Imagine the biggest drug trafficker in Bahia state of Brazil by the name of "Leg."
Now imagine him in a cell in Salvador with a king-sized bed, plasma TV, DVD player, $172,000 in cash, gym equipment, two refrigerators, and a couple of guns. You just imagined reality. Until the police came in and brought it all to an end last Monday, Genilson Lino da Silva was enjoying a sort of heaven inside of hell.1
That's how many have traditionally viewed Satan and his demons' eventual stay in hell. In hell they get to whoop and howl, shake diamond-ended spears, and torture unbelievers. But the Bible teaches that hell was created "for the devil and his angels" (Matt 25:41) where they will be "tormented day and night forever and ever" (Rev 20:10). Instead of being the tormenters, Satan and his angels will be the tormented.
